12:21 am - jobs welp - i just got two jobs- freelance video work - fun stuff- one is filming and editing a resume tape for a friend who wants to be the next katy kuric (sp? whatever) thats going to be a lot of fun- heh heh the other is shooting music video for mikes sisters band ( they have quite a following in portland so shes movin out there for a while- but the video will bee filmed somewhere in tennessee maybe? ) so yes they are going to fly me and my equipment out there and all = very cool - i need to find more of these fun jobs that bring me money - i have become attached to the idea of making money to spend on things - it is very addicting and all- so fun stuffs- werd Current Mood: bouncy Current Music: the duhks

11:27 pm - my bad... wow its been i abit of a while- uh like a month- but thats ok - im still alive and kicken. back in school now- only two classes - just for fun to finish up- yay- im lookin for a job now too. i almost took one with voice of america in dc- as a production assistant- which would have been really cool- but i would have had to sign a 1 year contract with no benefits- and i need health insurance- i do to many stupid things to go with out- so im still lookin- if anybody knows of a video related job (preferably studio assistant work or technician or editor work) let me know : ) any way - lifes been pretty good- went to tahoe in cali for a week- awsome snowboarding and xcountry skiing- much fun- havent been boarding since i got home though- this weather suks! but i think its gonna get cool again soon. welp thats short but alll for now- gotta get some sleep - i be hittin the gym befor work in the monin- werd toodles yall! 03:25 pm - CRAZY MAN! oh my goood ness!! yes its been awhile since ive written- but ive been stressed and didnt have time - so quit your belly akin- this will wet your appetite for news- last night i went out to dinner with lee and albert- fun times - good food- yay- so then i get home and im chillin on the couch and i doze off - then wake up - oh my goodness its like almost 2 am- so i start to get up and go to bed when i hear a familiar noise at the front door- sounds like a dog peeing on a carpet- but it wasnt a dog! it was a big drunk guy! peeing on my welcome mat!!! ahhhhh! so i woke lorean up and he was all pounding on the neighbors door and all and so i called the cops- but he disappeared before they came- so we think it was the stupid friend of the people in apt F so we hope they get in trouble and our carpet and front door are getting cleaned today- so yes totally gross! and just for all you art people= taking pictures through a peephole does work - and it looks really cool- especially at night with street light lighting- k so thats all for now - no one needs to know about the rest of my week its far to depressing and will just leave you unhumored If thats a word- so yes goodbye Current Mood: pissed off Current Music: system of a down

08:07 pm - halloweens a comin whoo its been a long stressful week- but the weekend is here and its just as stressful. so im going to releive my stress at a halloween party- woohoo- so yes - every one should see ocwrench's pumkin carving of don starr- it is truly a work of art! its on his lj. so yes i finally went to the sunflower veggie rest- very good- went with lee and diane and two other doods from the AIGA- very cool - yes saw batman begins last night with lee and albert- good movie - did you know bat man fell down a well as a kid = yes he did- then his parents were killed so he is afraid of bats now- it all makes sense in a strange unconnected way- see the movie so yes im off- gotta get decked out- in my snowboarding gear- goin as a snowboarder- yup im out of ideas- so it will do Current Mood: amused Current Music: captin america- ashley mcissac

10:51 pm - good books.. so i went to the book store today i got kids books one is called little pea -its about a little pea who doesntt like to eat her candy but she has to so she can have dessert- spinach and another one is called the dot- its about a little kid who doesnt know how to draw so the teacher says just make a mark so she makes a dot and the teacher says sign it then she realizes that she can make dots in many ways- so she does its really cute and the last book is called ... ish its about a boy who loves to draw but his brother tells him it doesnt look like what it is so he gets frustrated and quits but his sister is collecting his work and tells him she likes it she says his flowers are flower-ish so he starts drawing ish things its very good too yes i got a little to excited about my books- but they are so happy little artsy books and the illustrations are so cute- so yes i had to write a lesson plan for one of them - i chose ... ish - i think it was a good lesson plan and im inspired to make some art now- i would do it in my visual journal but renee has it - so i will wait- ok so yeah ... im going to bed Current Mood: lonely Current Music: boozoo chaves - cajun

12:19 am - weekend marathon howdy all- well its been another long weekend- but good for the most part- friday mom and i headed up to baltimore to go to the Baltimore marathon expo and prep for her first half marathon... shes done 5 full marathons so she decided to try a half this time- so yes the expo was nice but unfortunately they didnt have some of the things we were hoping would be back from last years- mainly the underarmour discount tent... boo... last year they had all sorts of stuff for mega sale but this year they decided not to since they have now opened their factory outlet stores... boo - so yes but over all we had a good time there- dad joined us for a pasta dinner and then we snuck him into the hotel since the reservation was for two- which then ment that there was only one bed- so i slept on the floor- which as it turned out it was just as hard as the bed... so we hit the marathon parking lots at about 730 the next morning to see mikes mom off on her first marathon- moms race didnt start till 945 so we went out to the start place at the harbor and got some breakfast- then mom took off with the tons of other half marathoners of which there were more than marathoners- yes so- we cheered on mikes mom when she came by and i videoed many many wakky racers doin there thing and got some good music in too- ill be editing all that during my free time at work - so yes by the time we got back to the finish line it was about time for mom to be runnin by and she was - then we lost her - but we found her again- then we waited fro mikes mom to come in - which she did -Yay! she finished - that alone is a great feat- not to mention she was still runnin- woo hoo! so yeah we kinda celebrated for a min or 2 and then we kinda got movin on home- after a great din din/ lunch thing at icarus greek restaraunt- so yes the bad part of the day then started - i was working up a head ache on the way home and by the time we got to my folks house i had a full blown migraine- yes seems that i fried my brain and my eyeballs a bit staring in to the sun all day- oops- so i crashed on my folks couch and got pampered and all- so yes the head ache was pretty much gone when i got up but i was still not quite visioning correctly small things were hard to focus on- still are a bit now - but yeah nun the less i went to the irish fest in fairfax- very nice and small- saw billy mccomiskey and his wife annie (shes a sweety) lee came and took a bunch of pics of billy and all the boys which annie liked - i think shes going ot use him for the next cd- yay lee! check out some pics on lees lj- (OCWRENCH) went to ofaolons- myron the bodhran playing jew was there and i ate with him and dana - a music management type for bunches of irish musicians- got a lot of gossip- played some tunes talked some more - and came on home - think im gonna hit the hay now- the headache is peaking around the corner and the eyes are weary- night ps - i miss mike- boo Current Mood: sore Current Music: system ofa downs new cd

11:43 pm - nickle creek Last night mike and i went to baltimore to the rams head live and saw nickle creek http://www.nickelcreek.com/ and oh my goodness they are so wonderful !!! i swear there is no group of young people with more energy and raw talent than these guys - its ridiculous- so yes they played all the best songs from there old albums and a bunch of there new stuff- very cool got the album plays very nice. yes yes it was a very good night - i stayed at mikes - probably kept him up all night with my coughing and scratchy throat- but he didnt complain- such a nice guy - so yes then i came home for my meeting with renee ( art ed director / teacher / mean lady) at noon and she made me wait in the hall fro 45 min before i could go in - and there wasnt even a student meeting with them before me- what were they doing for 45 min that couldnt wait till after my meeting!!! it wouldnt have been so bad if they hadnt already rescheduled the meeting 6 times - yes 6 !!!!!! so yeah then she told me how disappointed she was in my deportment - i think she made up that word- and yes then 20 min in to the meeting she finally got down to what the meeting was about - which was my project - which i seem to be on the right track with and all.... so yes - wasted my afternoon- then i had classes - very long and never ending - im home now though and going to bed - im going to dream of nickle creek... happy happy mando people.... 07:40 pm - Another week goes by... howdy folks well another week has passed on by and here i am at work- how boring is this place when no one is here... oy! well the week went by fairly quickly for my first week back form california-(which i still miss)- i had a neck spasm at the beginning of the week so i couldnt turn my head and i looked like a retard- but its pretty much better now- ive traded it in for bronchitis- yahoo- this weekend mike came out and we went to a DC UNITED game- they lost- but it was fun- i got to see one of my old teammates from the Sundogs and Pegasus teams - she has apparently dropped both teams too - so sad... sunday we had a nice little day at the apartment- sean (loreans BF) bbqed ribs and mike and i made a green bean dish that was really good- from Paula Deans cookbook- good southern cookin- mike had to head home early so i went out to oFaolans to play some tunes- it was really hoppin out there- there were about 15 musicians and the restaurant was packed- lee "o'mali" came out with some buddies and listened- it was a great session- we ended up playing till about 11pm- so i didnt get home till tre late. this morning my throat was on the rampage and i decided not to go to an NAEA event since i would be coughing all over the place and couldnt really talk any way- its better for the kids and me that way ; ) so i tried to catch kates XC race at bull run- but i couldnt call her cause she forgot her fone- again- so i went out and had just missed her race - but at least i got to hang out with her for a little while and i got to meet Alan Webb the olympic mile runner dude that mom and kate love so much - kates coach is his coach- we got some autographed photos for mom and mikes mom since they are about to do the Baltimore marathon... GO MOMS! - so yes, i had a nice little lunch with dad too which was cool cause on the way to the food places we saw a bat mobile- old school style like from the old tv show- dad took a bunch of pics of it- well that brings me to the here and now- sittin at work - getting paid to add an entry to my journal pages - and there is not a soul in this building whos not on the pay roll. oh well - ill stick it out her for a couple more hours and then head home to bed... tomorrows gonna be a fun day - mike an i are going to baltimore to see Nickle Creek play at the Rams Head !!! 11:00 pm - home now! welp- im finally home- and i wanna go back! well the rest of the trip was wonderful of course- mike and i tried to go down down down to ALCATRAZ- but the boats were full- boo - so we went to the trolley museum and pier 39 - we had lunch at pier 41 and then took a most wonderful tour of Boudin Sourdough French Bread factory. it was so great- hey im a french baguette- mikes a light rye : ) hee hee so after lunch we had lunch dessert at Ghirardelli square - big ol sundaes YAY! we had a yummy dinner at an irish pub in little italy hee hee- good foods on wednesday we caught the bart train to the airport and got our rental car- it was an EVO minus the power and 4 wheel drive- that makes it a lancer - hee hee so yeah we drove down by half moon bay and onward and stopped at Ano Nuevo SP to check out the elephant seals- they are some very big teenagers hangin out on the beach- and the sea lions were out in masses too- oy! yes so then it was on down to santa cruz for lunch- unfortunately we didnt have much time to stay and check out the famous mystery spot cause we had to book it on down to Big Sur- so that is on my to do list for the next time i hit the coast. once we got to Big Sur ( a wonderful little haven from the electronic world -no cell reception) mike and i enjoyed a most exquisite sunset over the ocean- it really is the best way to see the sun set. so yes thursday at big sur was a hiking day- we hiked to buzzards roost (800 ft up and the only place out there with a cell tower- heh heh) and we went up to the vally view and the pfiffer falls (say that five times fast) - later we went to pfiffer state beach and played frisbee till mike cut his foot- then he went in the ocean (below 60 degrees aka freezing) and then got the rare treat of seeing a nudest sun bathing- hey its california- so yes it was an interesting day- and to finish it off we had a romantic dinner for 2 at Nepenthe where we again got to see the sun set in to the ocean from the beautiful cliff side restaurant. then i got a migraine... so on friday we had to start heading back up to the santa cruz area for the wedding- mike and i stayed with my aunt and uncle who got a beach house- so it was them my cousin and her husband( a crazy german guy) and my other cousin and his wife and there 3 kids ( 1-7) it was very exciting to say the least. so yes we had the rehearsal din din and met up with my sister and dad and mom and every one else in the family- woo hoo what a shindig- those crazy collins' are at it again- So the Saturday wedding was beautifull! Kate and i backed up my cousin Katie (sister of the groom) on the fiddles, playing she moved through the fair- one of the very rare semi happy love songs in the irish tradition. So now (finally) Sarah is an official cousin. yay the wedding was grand- a beautiful set up in the redwoods- all outdoors with a barbque cikin din din and roasted garlic to boot (its garlic country out there) it was yummy- hey i almost caught the bouquet- she threw it right at me- but i outsmarted her and stepped to the side- heehee! mike and i dont need that kind of pressure right now - theyre already pushing so we can have another family reunion- those crazy collins'- well the day eventually came- sunday dun dun dun! we had to leave- mike and i went up to santa cruz to pick up mom at 7 in the am - and headed off to the airport - the first flight was fine - big plane short flight to denver- the second flight however was a little late- like 2 and a half hours - so we didnt get home till after midnight- oy! although to us it was only after 9 - so of course i stayed up late and had trouble getting up this morning- and we have 2 new bird here- and a huge cage- lorean and seans doing- brownie and skidmark are there names- we are going to have a bird zoo soon : ) ok thats all i can come up with now- im slowly felling the effects of the day- even though it is just after 9 now- im beginning to think maybe it really is after midnight as my clock suggests- nah- Current Mood: heartless-left it in San Fran Current Music: Liz Carroll (new cd- YAY!)

01:31 am - SAN FRAN hey all- mike and i are in san fransisco california at the moment- its like 10:30 here but not at home. the irish fest in sobastople was very much great - saw a lots of great groups and tons of vundabar music- tre cool = all the aunts and uncles were there - we'll be seeing them all again friday at the rehearsal dinner and wedding etc- so yes mom went on to stay with some family andthen visit a friend so mike and i are carless till wed in san fran- but the bus system is very good here and we have allready seen so much great stuffs today- tomorrow we are going to ALCATRAZ ! dun dun dun.... k updates will come as time ( and access) allows- see yall Current Mood: giddy Current Music: no radio

11:22 pm - oops! its been a while- yeah ive been a little busy lately. last weekend mike and i saw CARBON LEAF at the Recher theater- woohoo! yeah then we got to watch kates track fundraiser- fun fun- but it was a very nice relaxing weekend- but currently - oh my goodness things are going nuts! Mike and i are off to California on friday mornin- hopefully ill be able to update on the lap top out there and someday ill have pics up for all to see- so yes my cousin is getting married so we are going out for the wedding- were going to napa area first for an irish festival- then off to san fran and big sur- the weddings in santa cruz so thats where we will be before coming home. so exciting- but im going nuts getting ready- to much to do- i have to get my bow from the fiddle shop tomorrow- the bow guy was sick when i picked up the fiddle. i also have to shoot some footage for my comm class and pack and work- ahhhh ! and then leave at 6 am - well really like 430 to get to the airport... oi! oh well im off- must rest up for my big week! 12:03 am - weekends are tooooo fast! my goodness my weekend started on thursday and it still went by to fast- thursday dad and i went to bethesda to drop off my fiddle at potters for its annual check up which it hasnt had in like 3 years- im not getting it back till next thursday though cause i gotta get the bow re haired and it needs some body work- crack and bridge repairs etc- so boo no session tonight-next weekend yes! so yeah then after some art store shopping and coffee drinking i went back to my folks house and gave my sister and mom a cell phone how to lesson- yes kate has her first cell- pay by min- for "emergencies" only ( yeah right) so yeah friday- mike got stuck and work till almost 10 pm! so i made him a midnight dinner and then he passed out- then roommate came home at 2 and there were scary guys out side the building- so i had to go out and protect her so she could come in- late night sat- started my job at the star lab at gmu- had an orientation thing and all - sad thing is i missed my sisters first high school track meet- shes a freshman on the JV x country team- go kate! but she did really well for her first race- we are all proud- mike fotoed it for me so i go to see somthin- so any way job at star- i work mondays and thursdays from 7-10pm- so come visit if your around- oh yeah and yesterday was my daddys birthday- hes 66 -oy! so we took him to din din - goodtimes so today mike and i relaxed - rotated my tires- went to verizon- went to the bike shoppe- mike wants a road bike - cant afford it now though - i want a mtn bike - cant afford it now though- damn the powers of money - ok so im tired good night Current Mood: complacent Current Music: emmylou harris- Barbry allen

12:19 am - what a week... wow- it has been a long week- and yes the week is over for me - my weekend starts now! so yes after i made my first entry i left town- so i have a lot to catch up on. Mike and i went to Rehobeth Beach to visit our buddy Jorge and his girlfriend Mellisa, who is now managing his folks new restaurant out there- you should check it out, its very good foods- its called the Terrace- we had a blast out there- went to the beach, tanned, burned, biked, shopped, ate, ate, ate- good times. so yes, Mike and i got home monday night- so i didnt head back to the apartment till tues morning -thats when the fun started- i had to do 2 collages about myself, for 2 different classes- whew thats a lot of cutting and pasting (the old school way too). so yes anyway im done with classes till next week though so i have plenty f time to finish my next batch of collages (for my visual journal) oh also im going to be working at the STARR lab at mason - so if your ever up there look around i might be too- i think ill start next week- we shall see. so yes big news about my sister - she started high school on tuesday- woohoo hittin the big time- and shes on the xcountry team fun times- go Kate! nut job- ok well that will do for now- lets see any one know how to post pics? lee i know you do- help me : ) k- toodles for now- Annie O Current Mood: groggy Current Music: nature noises (aka crickets)
